Alwan, meaning “colours” in Arabic, began as a small interior studio in Dubai and grew into a design-and-build house with its own joinery factory. Today we take projects from first sketch to final handover, for private clients, hotels, restaurants, offices and developers across the UAE.
Our belief

think about wood

Grain
We read timber before we cut it, matching figure and colour so a wall reads as one piece.
- 02
Form
Proportion first. Panels, reveals and shadow gaps are drawn to the architecture, not to the catalogue.

Texture
Oiled, brushed, lacquered or raw, every finish is chosen for how it feels in the hand and ages over the years.

Light
Joinery and lighting are designed together, so light lines sit inside the work rather than on it.

Precision
Tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre, from the CNC bed to the last site adjustment.
